How to read it

Multi-comparison DE scatter

Each column is one comparison and each point a gene in it, with log2 fold change on the y-axis; points are jittered horizontally to reduce overlap.

Red points are up and blue points down (passing both the adjusted-P and |log2FC| thresholds); grey points are not significant. Counts of up and down genes appear above each column.

The most significant genes of each comparison are drawn larger and listed in the “Top genes per comparison” table; hover to see gene names.

The same thresholds apply to every comparison, so the scale of change can be compared across treatments, time points or cell types.

Method

The plot does not recompute differential expression; it classifies and counts the values in your table with the thresholds you set.

Data size

Up to 200,000 rows; filter first when there are very many points.
