Sets & relationships / Network Venn

Large dots are sets (sized by the number of items), small dots are items; each item is linked to every set it belongs to.
Items unique to one set cluster around it, while shared items are pulled between their sets, so you can see directly which items connect the sets.
Items can be coloured by the number of sets they belong to or by their exact combination; click a legend entry to hide a class and drag nodes to adjust the layout.
With many items the network gets crowded: tick “Only items in two or more sets” or lower “Max items drawn”. The downloadable tables hold the complete membership.
Force-directed layout: Fruchterman & Reingold (1991) Softw Pract Exp 21:1129–1164 (fixed random seed, reproducible).
2–10 sets; up to 2,000 items drawn.
