Each frame is one time point: bars are ranked by their value at that moment, and during playback values and ranks move smoothly between neighbouring frames, showing who overtakes whom and when.
Click “Play” to animate from the start (or the current frame); drag the slider to stop at any frame — “Export SVG / PNG” then exports the frame on screen. The “frame shown / exported” option sets the frame number directly.
If your input holds increments per period (such as new cases per month), tick “accumulate” to get running totals; a category missing from a frame carries its previous value by default.
Animation is for presentation rather than precise comparison; the downloadable ranking table lists every category’s rank and value in every frame for formal analysis.
Values and ranks are linearly interpolated between frames; ties are broken by the order in which categories first appear.
Up to 1,000 frames, 500 categories and 30 bars per frame.
