General plots / Stacked composition bar
Your data stays in your browser: files are read and processed on your device, never uploaded to any server, and cleared when you close the page. Free, no sign-in.
Each bar is a sample (or group) and each segment a component. In percentage mode every bar sums to 100%, so you compare relative composition independently of sequencing depth or total cell number.
Components are ordered by mean share across samples; the top 12 are shown by default and the rest merged into a grey “Other” so colours stay distinguishable.
“Raw values stacked” keeps absolute amounts for comparing totals. In a percentage chart, a rising share can simply reflect a fall in other components (compositional data are closed).
Hover to see each segment’s raw value and percentage; the long-format table can be used directly for further statistics.
Percentage = component value / sample total × 100; negative and missing values are treated as 0.
Up to 40 displayed components; up to about 100 samples is recommended.
Send us your data and research question and you will receive a written plan within 1 working day: analysis steps, parameter rationale, deliverables and timeline. Quoted per project.
