Table utilities / Table format conversion

Your data stays in your browser: files are read and processed on your device, never uploaded to any server, and cleared when you close the page. Free, no sign-in.

How to read it

Table format conversion

Reads comma-, tab- or semicolon-separated tables (including European decimal commas) and converts them to Excel, CSV, TSV, JSON or Markdown.

In Excel output, standard numbers become numeric cells, while everything else — including gene names such as MARCH1 or SEPT2, codes with leading zeros like 007 and IDs longer than 15 digits — stays as text, so Excel does not turn them into dates or lose precision.

JSON comes in two layouts: by row (one object per row, convenient for programs) and by column (one array per column, convenient for plotting); with “numeric values” on, blanks and NA are written as null.

Markdown tables paste straight into documents, repository READMEs or notes, with numeric columns right-aligned. Every conversion happens in your browser.

Method

Excel files follow the Office Open XML (ECMA-376) SpreadsheetML specification; CSV quoting follows RFC 4180.

Data size

Up to 200,000 rows.
