General plots / Ternary plot

Each corner of the triangle represents 100% of one component; the closer a point lies to a corner, the larger that share, with balanced compositions near the centre. Rows are normalised to their total, so the plot shows proportions, not amounts.
Enrichment style: points where one component reaches the threshold share (60% by default) are coloured by that component and the rest are “mixed”, which helps find group-specific genes or taxa. Distribution style: points are coloured by your group column to compare compositions between groups.
Read each percentage along the grid lines parallel to the opposite side; hover to see raw values and shares.
Rows with small totals have noisy proportions; filter them with “Minimum row total”.
Each row’s three values are divided by their sum; the dominant component is the largest share if it reaches the threshold.
Up to 50,000 points.
