How to read it

Cut and rearrange columns

In “Columns to keep”, list column names or numbers (starting at 1) in the order you want, separated by commas; 3-5 means columns 3 to 5, 5-3 reverses them, and 3- means column 3 to the last. Names are matched exactly first, then ignoring case.

With “Invert” ticked, the listed columns are removed and the remaining ones keep their order.

Write renames as old=new, separated by commas; an output column number may replace the old name.

The “Column mapping” table shows which input column each output column came from. Values are kept as text, so number formats are not altered.

Method

Selection and reordering by column number or name, equivalent to command-line cut and positional column indexing of a data frame.

Data size

Up to 500,000 rows.
