How to read it

Scatter plot

Each point is one row of your table, placed by the two chosen columns. A group colour column colours points by group (point counts in the legend); a continuous colour column uses a gradient with a colour bar.

A size column maps a third measure to point size (area proportional to the value), so three measures can be read at once.

In the summary, Pearson r measures linear association and Spearman ρ monotonic association; for a fitted line with a confidence band use the linear regression tool.

With many points, reduce the radius or opacity to limit overlap; hover to see each point’s values.

Method

Correlations are Pearson r and Spearman ρ (as scipy.stats), computed on the transformed axes; point radius is proportional to the square root of the size value (area proportional to the value).

Data size

Up to 20,000 points; groups beyond the 16th are grey.
